[SAC] OpenID usability

Hi,

What's the state of OpenID support for OSGeo users?
I've tried instructions on the Wiki page [1] but without success
Also, what does this mean "Your OSGeo userid can be used as an openid." in practice? Is OSGeo userid supposed to work as OpenID service like myopenid.com and others?

Mateusz,

Apparently the openid service was running on the .216 telascience blade
which suffered a disk failure. It has been unavailable since that time.

I'm somewhat ambivalent on putting work into restoring this service since
it apparently wasn't missed much.

Best regards,

Frank,

I understand.

OK. I think it would be a good idea to mark OpenID references
on the Wiki and website as no longer available.

Mateusz,

I have removed the reference from the osgeo_userid page on the web site.

Frank,

Thanks. I've updated the Wiki page
