hi,

I would like to hold the foss4g-e.org domain for another year (but not
longer). It is pointing to 140.211.15.68 server now, can you please
configure the apache2 http server, so foss4g-e.org points to
europe.foss4g.org ?

Thanks

Can someone tackle this? @jachym is the server admin, he can answer any
questions you have.

As far as my memory serves, I have no idea why the current setup is the
way it is now
and I wonder how the desired state would look like. Currently both DNS
entries for www.foss4g-e.org as well as europe.foss4g.org are pointing to
the same IP, but to which document root are they supposed to resolve,
which pages do you want to be served ?

IMHO foss4g-e.org should be a 301 redirect to europe.foss4g.org, that's my
guess

Comment(by martin):

Surprisingly, when I checked earlier today, the europe.foss4g.org returned
just a very sparse OSGeo template. Now it looks reasonable.

I've added a virtual host for redirection, please check if this is what
you were expecting and feel free to close the ticket.

Comment:

Excellent Martin thanks.

Yes, now the root is redirecting to this year conference, that's up to the
FOSS4G-E committee so I close this ticket as resolved.
