The board of the French local chapter would like to ask the following to
OSGeo/SAC:
1- Register the osgeo.fr domain
2- Create http://fr.osgeo.org/
3- Make http://fr.osgeo.org/, http://osgeo.fr/ and http://www.osgeo.fr/
point to http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Francophone.

It is likely that we need an address in France to register a .fr domain.
I'll check back with the members of the French chapter and come back with
more info in this ticket.

It seems that OSGeo-fr will need an address in France before osgeo.fr can
be registered, so that part will have to wait.
However, could one of the admins please go ahead and create
http://fr.osgeo.org/ pointing to
http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Francophone ?
