(Our) users often ask how to search the GRASS lists. The same applies to
any OSGeo list. Since we should not exclusively depend on external
services (some of them don't even support order by time stamp!) we may
have "htdig" or likewise installed.

Could this be done on the list server?

I made a quick try and discovered:

  * building htdig from source requires a c++ compiler which we seem to
lack on osgeo1.
  * I have no idea where to start with rpms.

I'm bailing and turning this back over to the group.
