#2501: OSGeo server as host for foss4g.2016-website

Up now the webpage for FOSS4G 2016 in Bonn is hosted on a jiffy box of the
local chapter fossgis. the costs are rather high (~16 €/month), so they
recently moved the page to another server. Astrid Emde created a tocket
for chaning the DNS entry, thanks for that so far.

In this, the question came up, whether it would be possible to move the
website in general to OSGeo. FOSSGIS could deliver the whole server-
content (e.g. as tar.gz).
Qustion: Do you see a chance, that this site moves over to OSSGeo?

Comment (by neteler):

Wouldn't it be the best to mirror it over as a static copy to

"Past Events" at http://foss4g.org/

like most of the other FOSS4G confs?

Comment (by robe):

Yes we can host it on OSGeo servers. As neteler mentioned having a static
copy would require least maintenance, but that is not absolutely required.

Just need to know the system requirements to run it.
