For the 2022 FOSS4G conference we need some email addresses, is it
possible to have them using the foss4g.org domain?
We need one general (like 2022.info) one for the sponsor (like
2022.sponsor), and one for volunteer and travel grant (like 2022.grants)

Last year all the mail setups were done after calgary "ended".
At this moment in time, for example,
sponsors at foos4g dot org at this moment in time goes to FOSS4G BA
I need to ask around.

I confirmed with Maria that the mails are inherited.
Currently for the foos4g.org mail service its been used amazon mail
services
Her comments about this service:
- Good for sending massive mails,
- Bad to receive them
In general its uncomfortable to use because of the bad part
Then it is a good time to start looking for an alternate mailing service.
She can give you access to info if you are going to start using it.
But you can start looking for alternate mail service.

Ok I read all the old discussion so it seems to be quite complex.
Our alternative idea is google but it seems that is not good for pretalx
and pretix (we will use only the first).
I looked at protonmail but with 50€ year plan it is possible to send only
1000 mails per day that seems to be not enough.
I'll search for alternatives but I don't know if there are many with the
needed capabilities.

We solved the problem to send emails using the OSGeo mail server, instead
for receiving we are going to use some gmail ad AIM (the PCO helping us)
accounts. I ask someone to redirect email addresses as follow:
- register@foss4g -> foss4g2022.reg@aimgroup.eu
- callforpapers@foss4g.org -> program.foss4g2022@gmail.com
- sponsors@foss4g.org -> sponsor.foss4g2022@gmail.com
- info@foss4g.org -> info.foss4g2022@gmail.com
- news@foss4g.org -> leave like now that is used for mailchimp
- volunteers@foss4g.org -> grant.foss4g2022@gmail.com
- travelgrant@foss4g.org -> grant.foss4g2022@gmail.com
- visa@foss4g.org -> grant.foss4g2022@gmail.com
- *@foss4g.org -> info.foss4g2022@gmail.com

It looks like foss4g.org is set to have an MX @ » 10 inbound-smtp.us-
east-1.amazonaws.com.
I think that was set for FOSS4G2021. Is it okay if I remove that? Then I
can just use the built-in PAIR mail redirect logic to setup these
redirects.

Okay I've set up the redirects above. You should get a confirmation at
those email addresses to approve the redirect.
I couldn't make sense of the Amazon email setup, so not sure where
news@foss4g.org should go. Let me know where that should go and I'll
repoint that too.
