Just wanted to catch it before it became a problem.
Current use as of Mar 14, 2011 on downloads.osgeo.org
/dev/hda1 108G 88G 15G 86% /

I realize OSGeo Live is a big culprit of filling the space, but we would
like to keep old versions available in some way. Any chance we can get
more storage attached to this node or put an archive on a different
server?

I second that: keeping old versions is essential to be able to demonstrate
prior art.

Comment(by martin):

The new 'backup' machine at OSL contains, in addition to its planned
objective, an archive of 'download.osgeo.org'. Precisely it's pulling a
nightly Rsync-Backup from 'download' without deleting old files (with the
exception of daily/nightly snapshots of GDAL and MapServer).

Not that I'm in favour of this particular use of this machine, because
it's stealing disk space which would otherwise be used for versioned
backups of the various OSGeo project stuff, but in theory there already is
an archive of old versions from 'download'.
