#805: Unable to reach upload.osgeo.org

I've been using WinSCP since the beginning of time to upload new MapGuide
Maestro releases to upload.osgeo.org

But since yesterday, I have not been able to connect to upload.osgeo.org.
WinSCP will always timeout. Other OSGeo services (svn, trac, etc) do not
seem to be affected.

Comment(by warmerdam):

Hi,

The old download server (still pointed to by upload.osgeo.org) is down and
may not be restored.

We are working to setup a new download server. In the meantime
download.osgeo.org is pointing to the mostly-readonly mirror.

If you need to upload something badly I can do it for you, but it may need
to be re-uploaded later when the new download server is available.

Is there an ETA or a way to be notified when the new download server is
available?

Comment(by warmerdam):

That is a reasonable question. You could certainly subscribe to the SAC
mailing list.

   http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/sac

There is also a reasonable change it will be mentioned on
discuss@lists.osgeo.org or perhaps
even that tickets like this will be updated.

Comment(by strk):

Uhm, I wanted to also upload a geos-3.2.3 (and in a few days a 3.3.1 too).
I guess I'll wait for things to get back up.

#798 will be the primary ticket for the download downtime and
reestablishment.
