Attempting to do a SVN commit fails. It keeps prompting for credentials,
and eventually gives up.

Attempting to login to trac also fails. Seems like something has gone
wrong on the server end.

Comment:

I have restarted slapd (the ldap daemon) with the command:

    sudo /sbin/service ldap restart

on www.osgeo.org, per the advice on:

   http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Migration_Documentation#OpenLDAP

Authentication seems to be working now.

I have no idea why slapd died.
