[SAC] OSGeo archives at Nabble (Re: Taking ownership)

Folks,

As you may know, I've been in touch with Peter Lupo from Nabble on
taking over the OSGeo archives ownership.
Peter managed to get in touch with Jason directly (see below).

I'm waiting for reply from Peter, but I need to be prepared to answer
possible question from Peter:
Who should I assign as the admin?

I think it would be a good idea to have not one individual, but two or
three, or perhaps some group (nabble@osgeo.org account) assigned
representatives in communication with Nabble.

I'm not a member of SAC, so I kind of taken liberty to solve it
on my own, thus I'm not sure how should I proceed with this.

So, shall SAC take over the ownership takeover negotiations
or shall I continue with guidelines from SAC?

Best regards,
Mat

Weird, I didn't hear from Mat about this. Must have got binned.

I have no problem with you transferring ownership to any individual on
the SAC or their designate who wants to maintain it, or to Jeff who I
think is already an admin at the top level. I trust Mateusz, a long-time
OSGeo member, to work out who this should be.

This is where Matheusz Loskot asks to change the ownership.
If you guys can reach a conclusion we can do something to help you.

Thank you for your time.

I added someone from the sac as an admin a while back, thought they were
taking care of it. I think it was Jeff McKenna?

Mateusz,

Welcome to SAC, would be great to have you as contact on this.
So +1 from me to have you continue negotiations.

But I also agree we should put a second contact on there. We could give
them info@osgeo.org, but I'm not sure if thats best way. Anyone else
have an idea.

Thanks,
Alex

Meanwhile, I sent e-mail to Peter Lupo asking for a piece of advice what
setup he would recommend: single account at osgeo.org domain (so we can
attach real admins to it, similar how it works for planet@osgeo.org) or
add 2-3 people directly as Nabble archive admins.

Peter has replied to my question saying:

"You can have only one owner but as many admins you wish."

Ideas?

Folks,

Here is my recent chat with Peter from Nabble:

Peter: You can have only one owner but as many admins you wish.
Me: Now, if we know who to make the owner, can we send you the details?
Peter: Sure.

It means, Peter is ready to accept details of new owner of the OSGeo
archives at Nabble.
