Subject: [OSGeo-Discuss] SPAM on OSGeo website
To: OSGeo Discussions <discuss@lists.osgeo.org>

Hello,

Following the francophone QGIS days this week I am adding presentation files in
the OSgeo library.

I find this item which looks like spam [1] (links to external website). I
unpublished it but can we also block the user (smebs).

If you think this is not spam (but seems quiet obvious to me), we can publish
it again.

Thanks,

Y.

Markus,

I reset the password on the LDAP account responsible. That will effectively
stop use of that account. However, I thought that OSGeo Drupal updates
required special permission beyond just having an LDAP account. So I'm not
clear how this spamming happened.

However, the problem does not seem to be endemic on the drupal server
(while it is much more serious on the wiki).

Best regards,
