The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires
that we maintain valid and working registrant contact information. Our
records indicate that your e-mail addresses (hobu.inc@gmail.com,
info@osgeo.org, treasurer@osgeo.org, jb-osgeohostmaster@jasonbirch.com,
jmacgill@gmail.com, tmitchell@osgeo.org, hostmaster@metacarta.com,
cameron@shorter.net, hobu@iastate.edu, warmerdam@pobox.com,
crschmidt@crschmidt.net) and phone number require verification for the
following domain names:
We ask that you please either update your contact information, or verify
the accuracy of the information above before 2015-10-23. If we are
unable to verify your contact information, we will be required to
suspend your domain name. Once your domain name has been suspended, you
will not be able to use it for e-mail or a web site address until your
contact information has been verified.
You may verify or update your contact information by logging in to your
account and following the instructions at:
Saw that yesterday, looking at it briefly there are several different
contacts phone numbers and emails listed as verification options. I
wasn't sure which phone number was for who, so I didn't initiate the
verification yet. Can probably clean that up a bit this weekend.
Thanks,
Alex

Ok, I got at least 1 email and 1 phone number verified now.
We still are getting the message though because we have lots of other
emails and phone numbers on record for each domain under the Technical
and Billing contacts.
So I think we need to go through 1 by 1 all the domains and update the 3
parts, Admin, Technical and Billing. The priority is to replace old no
longer active maintainers in the Technical Section. Admin and Billing
should probably go to info@osgeo.org and treasurer@osgeo.org
respectively. I assume we can use the same phone number for both. So
Basically copy the info from the main Administrative contact to the
Billing section and change the email.
For Technical contact lets make a list of who's listed, and for project
based domains search for up to date people to fill in.
If you tackle a domain, just post here that it's done and we'll keep
track of it that way (+ the verify message should go away).
Thanks,
Alex

I'm almost all the way through all of the domains (there was a nice copy
from other checkbox to make it fast).
Admin is info
Technical is dnscontact (which I receive)
Billing is treasurer
Other things I noticed.
1. openlayers.com and openlayers.net still pointed at metacarta NS, they
now redirect to openlayer.org
2. spatialreference.org uses Go Daddy names servers? That seems odd to
me since we host that site on osgeo servers and have the DNS registered
on PairNic. Howard, is it safe to change this?
Somewhere I missed a reference to Daniel's number 1418... and to an old
1.250 number, and a reference to tmitchell's email.
Other than that all the old numbers and emails are cleared out.
Though it seems to want to verify info@osgeo again (triggering SMS now).
Thanks,
Alex

Yes, it is safe to change this to pairnic. It must be holdover from before the transfer.
