Source Forge is “upgrading” to a new platform, including migrating email (from mailman to allure ) as such we are considering migrating email to OSGeo servers.
One question that effects a decision is if our existing subscriber list could make the jump across?

Yes, it should be straight forward. Just capture the subscriber list
from the source forge mailman admin interface.
What is not so trivial to capture is the subscribers passwords, and
settings (no-mail, etc). I think getting these requires access to the
server.
