While not super glamorous, it would enhance UX a lot.
I'm Jim Keener, a Pittsburgh, Pa native. I have an MS in Civil
Engineering and a BS is Mathematics and Chemistry. I have a wife and no
kids (Hoping that'll change soon!).
I've just quit my job as a Software Engineer to pursue a GIS-based
startup aimed at making it easier for municipalities to organize spatial
data . I'm also a partner in a company making software to help students
tell stories and allow teachers to assign fun assignments (so we hope!),
so I'm being a bit of a busy beaver.
I hope that as part of my business I can contribute back to the
community more!
As the guy who normally does this manually, it would be nice to have. I’d be happy to help support you on it. I can show you around the existing web interface tools for LDAP, and explain what I do for manual requests. One thing you will want to verify is that you can send email gracefully from the server used for these tasks (www2.osgeo.org I believe). You will need secure access to pursue this ticket. Does anyone one to raise a motion to appoint Jim to SAC so we can give him internal access?
Best regards,
Frank

I think you just did. I'm the one who invited Jim, so I'm +1.
