[SAC] website edit access

I had two interesting meetings at foss4g where the ability to edit the website came up. A while back I was given edit rights (so I could update the incubation docs online).

Way back in February the board wanted to ask for edit ability to more freely update the “about the foundation” pages, somehow I ended up doing it, and the rest of the board members did not obtain access …

In a similar fashion I would like to ensure the members of the marketing committee have the ability to update the website.

And perhaps more importantly, the recent volunteers on the website committee … do not have access

What is the best way to do this? Make a ticket and collect names?

For sure filing a ticket will help not loosing sight of the issue.
I'm one of those "recent volunteers" still waiting for access.
It looks to me that the main problem here is finding someone who
_knows_ how to grant access to others. And I think it should be
someone from the "web" commettee. As you could see nobody came up
on the webcom mailing list to respond to requests in that direction.

My question is: is any Drupal power user still a member of the webcom ?

Anyway, worth a ticket with a list of names requiring access
(please add mine)

Sorry for the lack of response I am traveling without ready access to internet.

Here is a ticket: https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/1789#ticket

Catching up on the website committee mailing list it appears that paul warriner was given drupal admin access?

It’s a bit tricky changing roles for people without knowing their user names, especially if they haven’t tried to log in recently (there are hundreds/thousands of user names registered).

Way back in February the board wanted to ask for edit ability
to more freely update the “about the foundation” pages, somehow
I ended up doing it, and the rest of the board members did not
obtain access …

Almost all of the board received editing permissions back in February. I think two did not because it requires a user to have made at least one attempt to log in with their OSGeo username before they are on the system.
