idea to separate maintainance responsiblities I think.

Yup, it is, as are LXC, RKT and probably others.
I'm not in a love relationship with Docker but I use it at work.
Thus I'm probably not going to crusade in favour of Docker it but at least
I should be able to set up and maintain it.
Please keep in mind that I'm not advocating the install of Wordpress from
the default Docker image.
