Shutting down osgeo5 and osgeo6

I'm shutting down osgeo5 (aka backup.osgeo.osuosol.org) and osgeo6 physical
servers to confirm we have nothing left in our infra that relies on these.

Cc'ing support just in case they have monitoring that will go off as a
result of this.

Thanks,
Regina

Thanks for the heads up. What are your plans for these machines moving forward?

Osgeo6 we are still reviewing disk replacement options and pricing.
Osgeo5 we plan to throw away.

Have you started moving to the new datacenter? We weren't sure if it's easier for you to do the replacement once you move over osgeo6 or after.

We don't plan to put anything on osgeo6 until it's been moved to its new home.

We haven't started moving but I'm hoping that will happen within the next month.
We're working out some final admin details with the new location. It's really up
to you with how the move might impact the service eventually being hosted on the
new system. I don't think it will be a problem if we go ahead and get it setup
sooner than later since I don't think we'll be ready to move in for at least
another month.

Let me know when you're completely done with osgeo5 so we can wipe the disks and
see if there's any more use we can get out of it. Otherwise, we'll send it to
surplus if that's okay with you.

Thanks-

Hello Lance

Please go ahead to shutdown osgeo5 (backup) and wipe the disk and send it
to surplus

Also osgeo6 can be shut down. The disks can be wiped and removed.
We are currently looking for the appropriate disks for osgeo6.
Maybe remove the disks when you install the new ones.

Regards
Vicky
