I post this question since it is likely of interest to most members. The old [Mailman Discussion](http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss) list is still active. However, new users are no longer able to register. I also recall that mail-list being replaced by this Discourse instance.
I am missing something here? Shouldn’t that list be inactive?

I wasn’t aware people couldn’t register there anymore. No I don’t think we got consensus on moving the discuss mailing list. We moved announce as I recall, not discuss.
We didn’t move announce we created a mirror of announce
