  Personnal and for a GIS initiation (along with a vector oriented GIS)

    If found it easier and more powerful than DOS equivalent sofwares

4) Does GRASS functionality meet your GIS needs?
  a) Yes

            I regret only the limited vector capabilities (some functions
            that arc/info has like buffer and overlay, and some network capabil
ities)

5) What operating system do you use?
  b) Linux, public-domain Unix

6) What is your organization's future plan for GIS?
  c) Keep GRASS for raster (environmental applications), but acquire

       GeoConcept GIS for vector based application : GeoConcept is a french pro
duct
       It is very powerfull, but somewhat buggy :frowning: We *must* use it because ou
r
       School is par of the Agricultural ministry and the choice was made for
       all its departments.
