The symptom seems to be that you changed g.gisenv into a vector program.
The cause may be that the links to the etc/front.end got damaged.
Try running src/CMD/MAKELINKS to remake the links.
Somehow when compiling some updates I screwed up grass4.0. When I start the
grass4.0 shell it comes back with something regarding g.gisenv needing some
vector files??? It then says that GISDBASE is null or not set. My .grassrc
file seems to be intact but the environment variables are not getting set
or passed to GIS.sh.
Any Ideas??
