Update Apache TomCat because of security issue

Hi,

Because of a security issue i would like to update Apache Tomcat to the latest version that is stable. I am using 9.0.55 right now. I saw that 9.0.98 is recommended, however i can’t get it working. Maybe it’s because of the wrong Java, Apache Tomcat or GeoServer version(s). Could you tell me which is tested with success? I have tried many but i am not able to get GeoServer working anymore.

Right now i am using:
Apache Tomcat 9.0.55.
microsoft-jdk-17.0.12-windows-x64.
geoserver-2.26.x-latest-war (nightly build)

  • This is working, but has a security issue.

I have tried:
Apache Tomcat 9.0.96 / Apache Tomcat 9.0.98.
microsoft-jdk-17.0.12 / microsoft-jdk-17.0.13
geoserver-2.26.x-latest-war (nightly build)

  • This isn’t working.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards.

You really need to tell us what isn’t working, I can’t see anything wrong with that setup. Maybe it’s your operating system?

Ian

Hi, thanks so much for your reply. There was indeed something wrong with the operating system as i was able to get it working after a couple of tries. Thanks for verifying that you didn’t see anything wrong with the setup. This made me try again more and it worked. This topic can be closed. Thank you!
