OGC/Raj is wondering what to do at Where 2.0.
I know I’m way out of the loop on this, but have we talked with the Where folk lately?

Subject: Re: [Mass-Market-GEO] Where 2.0 brainstormingESRI has been participating in the last few O’Reilly conferences and I think we could work on some OGC related demo’s along with our other presentations. Like Ed said, we would be happy to showcase some of the w*S stuff and maybe also do some georss, kml, openls stuff that may be of interest to the general IT crowd that shows up. Ed is right about the slow moving elephant comment … but I guess that is the downside of what has to be a “deliberative process” !

I will be there one way or another… I think with the nature of Where 2.0 OGC needs to be more than just there… perhaps some form of practical demonstration of W*S services, there is the perception that OGC is the slow moving elephant and we need to prove our relevance.

OGC is beginning to put together a plan of participation for

We’re thinking about a range of ideas, from just being there
to running an OGC-style mashup/plugfest.
So my questions to the group are, who’s going?
Who would support OGC activities with data, services, clients?
Any other ideas we should consider?
