After the Geoserver 3-RC release on April 20, there was no announced release date for the official Geoserver 3.0 Release. I was wondering if there is an estimated release date for the official 3.0 release. The announcements section on the Geoserver page does not include an estimated release date for the 3.0 release
Officially, I can point to the most recent PSC meeting minutes.
Unofficially, I can say that we are working as hard as possible (given that most contributors’ funding has been depleted) to wrap up the last few PRs, documentation screenshots and other issues, and that hopefully we can provide an update after tomorrow’s planning meeting, but the release is imminent.
How you can help: please provide feedback on the 3.0-RC, even if it is just words of encouragement to the over-worked and under-paid team.

I will second that trying out the nightly build and updating screen shots for “core” and “extensions” is very helpful.
The other item of note was the new OIDC security plugin, which waiting on public feedback before being an official extension.
