My name is Mayur, and I am an engineering student with a strong interest in open-source development. I have experience in C++ and am eager to apply and improve my skills by contributing to pgRouting.
I also attended the pgRouting workshop in GSoC 2025, but I was a bit late to start contributing that year and unfortunately wasn’t selected. However, this experience motivated me even more, and I am now preparing early and seriously for GSoC 2026.
I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and grow with the community. I would really appreciate any suggestions or guidance on how I can effectively get started with contributions.
I hope you are doing well. I wanted to inform you that I have completed all the tasks outlined in the pgRouting GSoC application requirements, including:
Task 1: Intent of Application
Task 2: Experience with GitHub & Git
Task 3: Local Build of pgRouting
Task 4: Getting familiar with C++
Task 5: Getting familiar with pgRouting
I have also started working on my proposal and organized the sections according to the GSoC requirements.
All the required issues, pull requests, and screenshots have been documented and linked accordingly.
Please let me know if there is any further step I should take or any additional feedback you have. I am looking forward to your guidance.
We most likely will not be reviewing any of this until we have confirmed we will be accepted by GSOC as an organization. Please review – Pre-GSoC 2026 general conversation if you haven’t already for further guidance.
